The Trulia Neighborhoods project aimed to help homebuyers and renters get to know a neighborhood's unique vibe before moving there. Using a mix of photos, videos, and text, I captured the essence of each community and where locals like to spend their time.
To create this rich user experience, I virtually scouted dozens of neighborhoods in more than 17 cities and wrote creative briefs and shot lists for local photographers. I also utilized neighborhood insights, key points of interest, history, and data trends to write authentic, short narratives stories about each unique location. All of this content was used to build the Trulia Neighborhoods website.
The project left our team with an abundance of photos, videos, and drone footage that I repurposed to create fun and engaging neighborhood-based content, including quirky quizzes, architectural round-ups, and local profiles.
The Trulia Neighborhoods project had a social component called What Locals Say. It gave folks in the community a platform to share additional information about their neighborhoods through user-generated content, poll stats, and quotes. I used the data from this content to create a series of short videos to promote Trulia Neighborhoods on paid social channels.
